Oxford University School of Magic

If one searches for information on the founding of the Muggle University of Oxford (informally Oxford University, or simply Oxford), you can find that it is the second oldest surviving university in the world and the oldest in the English-speaking world. Yet the exact date of foundation remains unclear except that there is evidence of teaching being done there as far back as the eleventh century, with a more rapid growth after 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris.
This is not hard to believe once one learns that the Muggle school was founded by the same wizards who had established the Oxford University School of Magic even further back to the ninth century. While the Muggle school may be the second oldest Muggle university still surviving, it is found that Oxford University School of Magic is the oldest surviving magical tertiary institution in existence. Over the centuries, Oxford University School of Magic has offered the most advance courses available for many areas of magic, ranging from Potions to Charms to Magical Education and even Magical Law and Government. As a matter of fact, in the early nineteenth century, Oxford University School of Magic - School of Law, was the first to offer an exchange program with its Muggle School of Law for specially selected and approved law students.
Today, Oxford University School of Magic is the premiere tertiary school of magical studies.
