How to: Find Roleplay
So you've made a character.. now to get them out and about!
Option 1. Check the Open Threads. We keep track of them [ here ]
find one that suits your fancy? Don't just sit there.. Jump right on in and post away!
what if there's already more then one person in it?
Depending on the thread you may want to be polite and ask first, PM one (or both) of the characters in the thread and ask if it's okay to throw yours in too.
You can also PM to ask to join any Unmarked/Invite and Closed threads if you want in. However you must get the okay first!
Option 2. Ask in the Shoutbox (located at the bottom of the main page or click the 'show shoutbox button' in the bottom left side of a page) if there are any threads going
Sometimes a thread is new and hasn't been listed yet so it's worth a try to ask whoever's around.. who knows they might just offer to start one with you!
Option 3. If a student or teacher drop by the [ Qualified Teachers Registry ] and see about organizing a class.
Teachers can post adverts of what classes they're offering
Students reply requesting a class thread for a available teacher to pick up with the two matchmaking to set up a time and place to run the thread.
Option 4. Post or Reply to a Plotting Thread.
[ Plot Me some RP ] is where Members are able to advertise their characters and brainstorm thread ideas.
Usually you'll find that one person plays a range of characters and will offer various ones depending on the situation.
Option 5. Go Ahead, Post a Open Thread somewhere that Characters can jump in!
Roleplay is built from open threads where anyone can take part.
Remember to give people time to check it out and decide if they want in.
Don't fret if you don't get someone immediately, we aim for a track record of zero empty threads with Admin's advertising, working to pair up members, and even jumping in to ensure new members aren't abandoned in all the fun.
Need some ideas on how to make your Open Thread get off to the best start?
Check [ How to Guide to Make Your Thread a Success ].
While You Wait. It's the perfect time to [ request some graphics ], organize your characters [ relationship thread ], [ plotting ] and even to drop a note and introduce yourself in the Members Forum.
