The Joys and dangers of shopping

Jamie had come to Diagon Alley for two reasons, first and formost he had heard that the Quidditch supplier had just gotten in one of the brooms from the 1986 American National Quidditch team world cup that was used by their Captain Maximus Brankovitch III . Jamie wanted to see what shape it was in and buy it to add to his collection of classic Quidditch brooms. He had some from centuries ago and as 1986 was the first year the colonials has presented a team to the world cup it was a historical broom and Jamie wanted it.
The second was he need to get some more whiskey as he was out at his rather large castle like home he lived in when not training playing or running.
Jamie found shopping to be a pain as it took four times as long as he was stopped over and over to sign things to talk to fans which most day not so bad but he was A- in a rush to get a look at the broom and B- hungover so not in a great mood at all
Jamie flooed to The Leaky Cauldron and walked the with black hooded clock hopping to go unnoticed by the vast majority of people for a long as possible.
The alley was quite busy as it was a fine day by British weather standards sun was peaking through the clouds and children were running to the ice cream shop as `he made his way past Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions on his way to Quality Quidditch Supplies.
when some one walked past and turned around and called him by name.

Anton realized that the end of his days of college in Melbourne were near ending and he would be graduating this December. It had surprised him the twists and turns his choices in education had taken since entering university a few years ago but he was very happy about the decisions he had made regarding the future and what he wished to do with it. Yes, it did mean a few more years education but this time, he'd actually be actively working at the chosen field while continuing studies. He had sent his applications to several choices and today, Anton was coming from a rather successful personal interview at one of them. He had been offered a position in their Graduate studies program and all he needed was to tell Kat the choice and see how she felt about him accepting it.

There were good and bad points about it but one of the good points would be that they would be back in England if she joined him and Anton really felt that that is what Kat wanted, tied for first place with being back in the active field with WWB. In the course of meeting with the person who, if he entered the program would be Anton's advisor, he found out there was also an apprentice healer's program through St. Mungo's that another certain someone might just be interested in for herself.

Leaving that, Anton had gone on to Diagon Alley to pick up a few things and had bumped into a few of his friends from his time at Hogwarts and they decided to meet up at Leaky Cauldron for a bit to catch up and visit. Anton had started to head toward the pub with one of them when he remembered the list of things he needed from the Apothecary and started to head back. He called out to one of the men to let them know he'd be a few minutes late.

"Hey, Jamie!" He yelled just as he passed a figure in a hooded cloak, "Be about fifteen minutes."

Jamie was really surprised that he had be noticed as he had taking such care to not be recognised and there was this guy yelling at him. if jamie had been really paying attention he would have need that the man had contained talking after saying his name about being late.
Jamie could not recognise the man face tho but if he know jamie maybe that had meet jamie hated hangover his head hurt and now this guy was yelling and it was just to much.
"dude Just keep it down ok. i'm on the down low" Jamie said to the man as he tap him on the shoulder
"I really like to get out of here with out a line or a mob pls" Jamie was hoping no one else had noticed the guy yelling his name the fan some times were just in convent. Don't get jamie wrong he really love being the centre of attention but after his big night last night well to be true it had been a big week and he would still be going if he had not run out of Booze.
Jamie really hoped he could get out of this with a quick autograph and the get to the bottle shop the to buy the broom.

However, quidditch was not one of the things Anton kept up with. He knew when a particular tournament or Cup game was going to be held, hard to miss for all the advertising in The Global Voice or on WWBN or even just posters around places. But keeping up with the teams? No idea who played what and where. So it was that when he hollered to his friend, Jamie, he had no idea that under the cloak was another Jamie who other people knew. Lots of other people because the man was a professional quidditch player. Even if Jamie didn't have a cloak on, Anton wouldn't have known him by name.

So when the man tapped him on the shoulder, Anton gave him a bit of a confused look as to why he'd specifically ask him to keep quiet for there did not seem to be any one around napping nor any place where they could sit to take a nap either. "Yeah, sure though I don't see much of a mob forming or is there some sort of protest scheduled I didn't know about?" Anton asked the stranger, after all, he hadn't really kept up with Wizarding England politics the past few months and the Muggle Occupy gatherings had been picking up steam.

Jamie was very confused by the young man response it was not posable for jamie to think any one would not know him a least not in london as it was the quidditch capital of the civilised world and what was he talking about protest who did that any more that was like a sixties thing wasn't.
there were some people now taking a long look in his direction and jamie was unsure if he like the idea of being stopped again.
jamie walk over to the young man and stepped in close so that he could see his face and visa vesa.
"I just want to shop and maybe get a drink, ... ok a lot to drink and people knowing i'm here not so good so walk with me and we can chat and stuff maybe" Jamie was sure he know this man from some where use not sure were.
deciding that he would rather look rude that give him self more of ahead ache he asked
"i'm sure we've met some were?" Jamie was really bad at remembering names and faces mostly as he meat so many people all the time and was usually drunk when he did meat them. But usually could tell if he had meat some one before and he was sure he knew this guy but from where and when.

No, it would not have surprised Anton to see an Occupy Diagon Alley forming, not after what his grandmother had told him about the recent events in New York City and elsewhere around the globe. Rumor had it that someone was talking about a wizarding one starting up in Manhattan according to recent WWBN London newscasts. However, from the reaction the stranger gave him, Anton suspected that wasn't an issue. Especially when the man moved closer to him.

Anton was not a tea totaller but the smell of stale alcohol on the man was a bit unexpected at this time of the day. When Anton finally got a closer look at the man's face, he looked a bit worse for the wear. "Uh... Okay.. Sure," Anton agreed as the man asked him to walk with him, though Anton was not too sure about the guy needing more to drink. More like he needed a hangover potion instead but Anton did not usually carry it on his person. "Leaky Cauldron's that way if you really want a drink that bad," he indicated and started walking. The man seemed to think he had met Anton somewhere but if he had, Anton wasn't recalling it right off either. "Well, I had been a student at Hogwarts for a while but I'd remember if you had been on staff there. You haven't lived in Australia, have you?" Anton asked him since he was fairly sure, from the man's current state, it would not have been on a WWB trip to Haiti or Japan that they met.

Jamie was sure this man was known to him but from were. as the man said a boy the Cauldron
" I just came from there and not really my kind of place need more i don't know some thing" jamie said " Hogwards no didn't go there tho i do think we would have been many years apart any way. Australia Been there many times played there more than once has some very hot weather as i recall" Jamie said trying to still place the dark haired man
"you are not involved in quid ditch by chance coz then we would have had to have meet" Jamie asked know he had meet this man just not sure where he need to work this out or it would nag a him for days making his training and drinking just bad and distorted jamie hated that he has such a bad mind for names.
"i just really bad at names well ames and faces. maybe if we introduce our self it will wake up that memory we need. i am jamie savage and you are?" Jamie hope once he heard his name he would be able to get this over with and on to buying his broom and a very big drink

The Leaky Cauldron wasn't his type of place? Anton wasn't sure where to take the man if that was the case, "Well, if you want a drink, that's all that is here," Anton told him. "Anything else is either going to be a Muggle pub in London or you'll have to go to Hogsmeade." It was going to be up to the man to decide where he would go since he was the one wanting the drink but if he wanted help getting to the Leaky Cauldron, then Anton would do that. As the man said he'd not gone to Hogwarts, Anton just nodded though he wasn't thinking of them having been students together but perhaps the man had been on staff. Since that wasn't the case, it ruled out knowing him from there.

At the question about quidditch, Anton shook his head. "No, don't play it and don't really follow it too much. Prefer football and the occasional game of exploding cricket. Mostly, I've just been studying at the university in Australia. Came back to see about graduate studies." Yes, Marcus had created a fan base for the little heard of game. As he introduced himself, Anton gave his own as well, "Anton Hunter." The name seemed familiar and Anton remembered it reading it in some articles on The Global Voice sports pages. "Oh, quidditch," he remembered. "Didn't you do a clinic or two recently in Victoria?"

Jamie listen as the man advised him of his name Anton Hunter Jamie could not place the name maybe he mad a mistake and he did not know this man at all.
then he asked about the quidditch clinics he was running to keep his image up after he got drunk and showed up to play that drunk and unable to stand up let alone ride a broom But as he would say he did show up on time and with his gear.
"yep i did those clinics where you there?" Jamie asked the man as he began trying to walk to the Quidditch supplies shop.
"Going to get a broom from history ya know" jamie said as he begin trying to walk.
Jamie was really in need of a hang over cure or more booze or just less thinking the whole were do i know you from conversation that jamie was having all to often those days he really need to get back on the the wagon or just give up going out.

Anton shook his head at the man's question about the clinics. "No, I really don't play quidditch at all. But a couple of my class mates at the uni had gone to them. Said they were good," Anton told him. "They play on the school team." It seemed that Jamie had decided he wanted to go to the quidditch shop instead of getting a drink after all as he quickly changed direction when they neared the shop. "Oh? Well, if you're going to be okay," Anton told him, as the man began heading for the quidditch shop door, "I'll go on. I'm supposed to be meeting some friends." With that he waved to Jamie and headed off in the direction of the Leaky Cauldron.
